I like to design packaging in such a way as to evoke a memory or to place the customer in a specific scenario or time period. For this pizza stone kit, I wanted update the look to tell more of a story and give more personality. Thinking of pizza made me remember the Friday pizza nights of my childhood, so I updated it to feel like a delivery box of a local pizzeria set in the mid 1990’s. I like to think that perhaps this fictional restaurant had some sort of reward system for children who read many books.
